Pedri arrived from Las Palmas in the summer of 2020, aged 17, and went straight into Ronald Koeman's first team. Barcelona finished third in La Liga that season, their lowest placing since 2007/08, and went out of the Champions League in the last 16, but they won the Copa del Rey with a 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao, a record 31st title. Lionel Messi scored 30 league goals for an eighth Pichichi and then left for Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. This is the shirt from the handover: the last of one era and the first of the next.
