Adidas Newcastle United Away 08/09 Viduka 36 - 8/10

An Adidas Newcastle away shirt from one of the strangest seasons in the club's modern history, carrying Viduka 36. High numbers on strikers always catch the eye, and this one belongs to a season Newcastle supporters remember for all the wrong reasons. Size M, with the nameset applied by us.

History

Newcastle were relegated from the Premier League in 2008/09 after Kevin Keegan resigned in September and the club worked through several managers before Alan Shearer took over for the final eight games. Viduka made only a handful of appearances through injury. Relegation season shirts are an odd corner of collecting: fewer are kept, more are thrown away, and the ones that survive tend to be scarce.
