History
The New York Red Bulls were born in 2006, when Red Bull bought the MLS club MetroStars and renamed it. In 2010, the club moved into Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, and the same year signed Thierry Henry, who stayed until he retired in 2014. The Red Bulls won the Supporters' Shield, the trophy for the best regular-season record in MLS, in 2013, 2015 and 2018. They are part of the same football group as RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg, which is why the badge looks familiar to European fans. Adidas has supplied every MLS club since the mid-2000s, so the three stripes have been part of the Red Bulls' look from the start.
