History
France opened Euro 2004 against England and were losing 1-0 with a minute of normal time left. Zidane scored a free-kick, then a penalty in injury time, and France won 2-1. It was the last great moment of that team: they lost 1-0 to Greece in the quarter-finals, and Greece went on to win the tournament. Zidane announced his international retirement that August, aged 32, then reversed the decision a year later and led France to the 2006 World Cup final. This shirt belongs to the summer in between, when everyone thought they had seen the last of him in blue.
