History
2003/04 was a rare season without a trophy for Bayern. They finished second in the Bundesliga behind Werder Bremen, in a squad built around Michael Ballack, Roy Makaay, Claudio Pizarro, Zé Roberto and Oliver Kahn. Schweinsteiger was the youngest name in that dressing room, breaking into the first team from the academy and taking 31, a number he never gave up. He went on to make over 500 appearances for Bayern, win eight Bundesliga titles and the 2013 Champions League, and lift the World Cup with Germany in 2014. Early-career shirts like this one come from the years before any of that was obvious.

Why number 31?
Schweinsteiger took 31 when he came through the Bayern academy and wore it for his whole career at the club, from 2002 to 2015.
