History

Oxford United won the League Cup in 1986, beating Queens Park Rangers at Wembley during a three-season spell in the top flight. By 1992/93 the club was competing in the First Division following the Premier League breakaway, still playing at the Manor Ground, which remained their home until the move to the Kassam Stadium in 2001.
